The Curse For
Centuries
A myth
has
been heard since
centuries by the
people of our
kind which is
mentioned somewhere in
a Greek literature
by an ancient
Greek scholar. A
myth that is
supposed to be
originated somewhere in the seas
of Hellas, ancient
name of Greece. The
story of a nymph named Amphitrite, who
is considered to
be the first
and whom once Poseidon awarded
as his favorite
wife; the one
whom he loved
and admired the
most. But later
on just like
any other God
when he got
bored his interest
gradually moved toward
Amymone, who
later was bearing
him a son
unlike Amphitrite who
only gave birth
to his daughters
which were mostly
mermaids.
Amphitrite taking it
as an insult
and fully sobbed
in her jealousy
swore to take
a revenge on
Amymone and planned
a trap for
her son. One
day finding the
kid alone she
took it as
an opportunity and
took him along
with her to the surface
of the sea
where there awaited
Euryale, a gorgon who
as planned was
already present there
from before. Promising
it would give
him immense power
and make him
more powerful than
his own father
she asked him
to look into
her eyes. Totally
tricked into her
flattery he did
so and as
a result was
stoned and drowned
in to the
great depth of
the sea, dead
but this whole
incident got mistakenly
witnessed by Velora, a mermaid, one
of her daughters
who later took
the complain to her father
who was then
mourning his dead
son.
Poseidon who then
burst out in
range struck his
trident thrice on
the sea bed
and yelled, “Na
Vgei! Na Vgei!
Na Vgei!” with
tears rolling down
his eyes and
banished Amphitrite and
her seventeen sisters
from the land
of Athens and
countries around it.
As Eurayle had
already fled into
hiding, Poseidon took
out his revenge
on her sister
Medusa, by
rapping her on
the floor of
the temple to Athena.
The exile for
Amphitrite was her
sentence to death,
not only for
her but including
all her sisters
as they no
longer lived with
gods, whose touch
kept them so
young and evergreen
as a result
they began turning
old and unattractive
and were soon
to die. With
no other place
to go, they
went to the devil begging
for help. The
devil, who was
waiting for such
an opportunity to
come presented a
deal.
“You banished
heavenly creatures,” he....................http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KAZA08
