 Chris McCartney, a TV show anchor finds a weird painting in the store room of his stay-house which holds a diary within itself. When read, he realizes the danger his family is in.

The starting page of the book starts with a short poem, which gives a basic idea to it's reader about a creature the author is asking to be aware of.

“Every burning thirst is not meant to be satisfied,
Because when the moon is full, and the sky looks bright,
There is someone in water, eager for her first bite.”

This 21,000 words novella is based on a journey of Chris McCartney, the narrator who is very excited to work on his next documentary that has to be filmed in India. The place they reach is as beautiful as their host, Veena, the owner of the mansion they are gonna live in.
The next day they meet their guide who claims of loosing his wife to a demonic creature who disguised itself in the form of a normal girl. While making documentary Chris and his mates pass through such situations which make him think that the place is being haunted by a class of marine nymphs who were cursed by Poseidon according to an ancient Greek myth.

Later when he is alone in the mansion his sight is caught by the portrait portraying a serpent lady somewhere in woods and the painting has got a diary hidden inside it.The writer is unknown yet but through his written note Chris comes to the conclusion that the family which once resided there, has blood lines related to .........
